Crown Point Technologies together with our partners at Summit Knowledge Solutions recently hosted a community webinar - "An Introduction to Knowledge Engineering for Government Applications" - aimed at providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of this exciting field and how they can apply it within their organizations. Knowledge Engineering is a rapidly developing field that requires advanced data science, database engineering, and semantic technologies skills.  These skills are brought to bear to solve a multitude of database integration, sense-making, and automated reasoning problems.

In this webinar, we discuss the field of knowledge engineering and the challenges being confronted by U.S. government organizations that can be tackled with knowledge engineering solutions.  We begin the webinar with a panel of government experts from the Department of Homeland Security and the Air Force Research Laboratory, describing their knowledge engineering needs.  After the panel, we will transition to a discussion of the skill sets required of knowledge engineers and present options to develop these skills.

This webinar is intended for individuals at any point on their career path interested in becoming a knowledge engineer and current knowledge engineers looking for an opportunity to apply their skills on government projects. This webinar also serves as an introduction to knowledge engineering for government representatives looking to apply the practice within their organizations.
